We are reasonable people. Our goal is to offer the best service and we believe all people are good by nature. To make use of Havirtual pleasant and fair there are some simple rules (AUP) to follow. Please read carefully to learn what you can and cannot do as Your services may be suspended or terminated for violation of this AUP.

Acceptable Use Policy

Effective September 15, 2009

1. Network Abuse

You may not use Havirtual network or services to do things that are illegal, abusive, irresponsible or
generally considered bad including:

  • Any action that is likely to provoke DoS attacks directed at Havirtual network, servers or any other part of infrastructure
  • Probes scans, security tests, unauthorized data collection, or system monitoring without express authorization of the target network or the system owner
  • Deliberate overloading of network resources, including, but not limited to flood, broadcast attack, or mail bombing
  • Unauthorized use of computer systems
  • Collecting personal identifiers without the consent of identified person and/or using collected information for scamming, phishing, spidering, or actions alike
  • Spoofing and using any other methods for misleading recipients about origin of information sent
  • Distributing spyware, adware, virii, or any *ware obscured and misleading by nature designed to violate this very AUP

2. Offensive and Illegal Content

You are responsible for the content you install, publish, transmit or store on your servers. You should comply with the laws applicable to you and Havirtual (Dutch and Estonian laws). Besides the law, there are some things we do not tolerate:

  • Fraud - stealing and fooling people is bad thing. Wide range of activities including, but not limited to chain letters, pyramid schemes, customer misleading, software piracy, copyright/trademark/patent violation, etc is strictly prohibited on our systems
  • Violence - depicting or promoting violence, hate or harassment, be it against people or animals. Activities starting with child pornography and ending with hate speech are not tolerated here
  • Privacy - we respect privacy, improperly or illegally exposed personal information, trade secrets or any other information not belonging to public domain is prohibited
  • Any content that is likely to provoke attacks directed at Havirtual network, servers or any other part of infrastructure

3. Mail Abuse

We do what we can to keep Internet clear of spam. In case of abuse complains or suspicious email activity we may monitor or even block email traffic for your service. If you are not sure if your commercial or bulk email can cause problems you can contact our support team. Main things to keep in mind are:
  • recipients consent is required - make sure recipient gave consent to receive email, gave reasonable proof he is the owner of email address. You should be able to provide proof of consent
  • every email should give recipient simple way for consent revocation
  • every e-mail and associated websites should have e-mail (abuse@yourdomain) for easy abuse reporting
  • From: and Subject: should clearly reflect sender's identity and e-mail content respectively

4. Social networks, Forums, IRC etc.

  • you can not mislead recipients into thinking you are representing Havirtual in any way
  • you must comply with the rules of any other network you access or participate using Havirtual

5. Other
